Oscar for Oskar - “Golden Knight” for movie maker Oskar Siebert
The Regensburg short movie week is over, but Oskar Siebert is a lot more happy and this for a longer time than the winner of the Regensburg movie event. The international film festival of Malta 2005 takes place from the 30th Nov until the 3rd Dec. There, Oskar Siebert won an award for his short movie “Mother”. “The Golden Knight” is like an Oscar for the amateur movie maker. Since the 50’s the Malta Cine Circle is dedicated for amateur and hobby movie makers. Today the Golden Knight festival has expanded. Beside the Class A for amateurs, there are categories for film schools and professional movie makers.
Entries come from 5 continents and almost every country. Especially the organizers are very proud of entries from Israel, Iran and Turkey.
Oskar Siebert from Regensburg can be happy about this “knight” award in Bronze in his category. Even The Silver Knight goes to a German movie club from Reinickendorf.
